To hide the murder the minor burnt the private part of the woman

New Delhi: Police in Delhi's Dabri area have detained a 17-year-old child in connection with the murder of a woman. To evade evidence of the woman's rape, the accused murdered her after rapping her and burned her private parts before dumping her body near a sewer. On November 15, the body of a lady aged 22 to 25 years was discovered near Madhu Vihar nullah, according to sources. After interrogating over 2500 persons, a police squad lead by Dabri police station in-charge Surendra Sandhu identified the woman.

The woman resided in the Dabri area and worked as a housemaid. The location of the woman's previous workplace was identified by the police. After inspecting the cameras CCTV around the residences, police apprehended the minor. The woman used to work in the minor's next-door neighbor's residence. During the interview, the minor admitted that he and the woman became friends. He invited the woman to his home on November 14th. He tried to rape the woman there. When the woman objected, he raped her by tying her hand and leg. The woman was allegedly beaten with a rod and killed when she threatened to call the cops, according to the information received. Fearing being hanged in a rape and murder case, the criminal burned the woman's private parts in order to prevent the rape from being verified. He stuffed the body into a sack and tossed it near the sewer in his Maruti van.

Following an inquiry, the investigators found that the accused is in the 12th grade and used to perform minor jobs. His mother has passed away, and his father is in critical condition. The perpetrator has been sent to a juvenile detention centre.
