Chirag's claim on LJP, real power to be seen in meeting

Patna: The political turmoil in Bihar has increased considerably over the past few years. Chirag Paswan today convened an executive meeting of the Lok Janshakti Party on behalf of his faction. The meeting will begin in Delhi a short time from now. Ahead of Chirag Paswan's meeting, Pashupati Paras has dissolved the old executive as party president. The executive of the LJP has a total of 73 members including 12 State Presidents.

Chirag claims that at least 60 people will attend today's meeting while only ten people are with the Paras faction, so today is going to be a decisive day in this battle of uncles and nephews. Today, it will be clear how many people attend the National Executive Meeting led by Chirag Paswan after the dissolution of Pashupati Paras executive.

Chirag Paswan's entire exercise is to retain his claim to the LJP. Chirag became chairman in 2019, which was sealed by the national executive. Pashupati Paras became the President after the revolt of 5 MPs in June 2021 but Chirag claims that no one can convene an executive meeting without the approval of the present Chairman. Chirag and Pashupati groups have already written to the Election Commission regarding the party symbol and flag. The Pashupati faction says that out of 6 MPs, 5 MPs are with them so their faction represents real LJP on the basis of majority.
