Tokyo Olympics: Adani Group's big move becomes official partner of the Indian contingent

New Delhi: Adani Group has become the official partner of the Indian Olympic Team at the Tokyo Olympics starting today, Friday. In Tokyo, 127 Indian athletes are participating in 18 sports. This is the largest ever number in the Olympic Games. With the Olympic partnership, Adani Group aims to provide corporate support for the country's sports ecosystem, which will build a better and stronger sporting future.

At the same time, the group is operating the 'Proud' incubation program. The program was launched in 2019 after completing a four-year pilot project launched before the Rio Olympics in 2015 to identify and encourage India's future sports champions. Great players were selected for the 'Proud' program. In the past, the champion's spectacular fest, backed by Adani Group, includes boxers Shiva Thapa, Mandeep Jangra, and Pinky Rani, shot putter Inderjit Singh, race walker Khushbir Kaur, long-distance runner Sanjeevani Jadhav, and shooter Malaika Goyal.

Under this initiative, 10 junior and 9 senior athletes were encouraged, out of which 7 have qualified for Tokyo 2020. Pride is a story of each of the athletes trying to overcome the determination, challenges, setbacks, and difficulties of talent.
