Tragic Drowning Incident in Barabanki: Five Children Lose Lives

Lucknow: Tragedy struck in Barabanki district of Uttar Pradesh as five children lost their lives while bathing in the Saryu river near Chirra village. The incident occurred when the children, aged between 10 and 12, ventured into deep waters and began to drown. Villagers nearby raised an alarm, prompting a large crowd to gather at the scene. Local divers were called in to assist with the rescue efforts.

Despite efforts by the divers, only two brothers, identified as Ayaan (10) and Safer (12), were retrieved from the river. They were rushed to the CHC Tikait Nagar, but unfortunately, they had already succumbed by the time they arrived. The family members of the deceased were left devastated by the tragic turn of events.

Meanwhile, the search for the three missing children continues as divers comb the river in hopes of finding them. The Tikait Nagar police, along with local authorities, are leading the search operation. The incident has left the community in mourning, with hundreds of people gathered along the banks of the Ghaghra river. Ramsanehighat SDM and CO were also present at the scene to oversee the situation.
