TRAI Changes MNP (Mobile Number Portability) Rules

Recently, it has been learned that Indian Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) can make changes to the rules of mobile number portability (MNP) soon. 

It has been reported in this report that Indian Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) is considering this. Thereby, the changes in mobile number portability (MNP) rules have been made. The role of the MNP Clearing House can be increased in the new rules. 

There is no official announcement about this yet, but can be announced soon, in which the role of MNP Clearing House will be enforced, with the full details of the consumers to complete the process.

An analysis of the MNP report from April 2016 to March 2017 shows that the average rate of dismissal of porting requests on behalf of telecom operators in all categories is 11.16 percent.

It has been decided that the existing MNP A process can be added in the process, which can share the contents of the UPC and the validity of the UPC with the mobile number. Although this rule has not been implemented yet.
