Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) is looking to the services of all the service providers and has found that global service providers are providing poor quality services. Previously, it has asked Jio to initiate the pricing offers for its users. Observing the situations of the services given by the global service providers, TRAI has questioned all the telecom providers about te reason behind the poor quality services, including the companies, which are adjoined to TRAI. An official said, "The SMS-based survey asked consumers whether their international SIM cards worked when they were abroad. Close to 50 percent of the people responded saying it worked. Of the rest, nearly 30 percent said it did not work at all and 20 percent said it worked partially." Stament given by an official said, "We asked them what are the reasons, how can the situation be improved. What are the issues…is it to do with the SIM cards, or connectivity problem at the level of local country specific operator, or is it that people did not follow proper procedure for dialing."
