Trending! How 70-yr-old woman walks miles barefoot to collect pension

Odisha-Nabrangpur: Unsettling incident in Odisha! Yes, a 70-year-old woman was seen walking barefoot for several kilometers before going at a bank to collect up her pension.

The elderly woman could be seen in a social media video strolling barefoot in the sweltering heat while leaning on a broken chair. On April 17, the incident took place in the Jharigaon block of the Nabrangpur district of Odisha.

Surya Harijan, the elderly woman, is from a poor family. Her older son is employed as a migrant worker in another state. She resides with her younger son's family; he earns a living by grazing animals owned by other people. The family resides in a hut and lacks land to cultivate.

When the woman went to the bank to claim her pension, the employee informed her that her thumb did not match the record, therefore she was forced to leave.

The bank manager responded to the event by claiming that she is having difficulty withdrawing cash due to her "broken fingers" and that the bank is striving to find a solution.

Her injured fingers make it difficult for her to withdraw cash. She received 3,000 rupees personally from the bank. We'll fix the issue quickly, the bank manager Anil Kumar Mehar promised.

The Sarpanch of her village also said that they have discussed listing such helpless senior citizen in the village and providing pension money to them.
