Hyderabad-based pharma company Dr Reddy, which is testing the Russian vaccine in India, has said that human trials of the third phase of the Russian vaccine are expected to be completed by March. Erez Israel, CEO of pharma company Dr. Reddy, said that registration for the mid-stage test of the Sputnik-V vaccine would begin in the next few weeks and the trial is expected to end by December.

Russia is joining hands with pharma company Dr Reddy Labs in India for the Phase Three trial of its Sputnik-V vaccine. The Drug Controller General of India (DCGI) has given permission for the clinical trial of the vaccine. Permission has also been given by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). Now the vaccine trials have been started in 12 government and private institutions across the country simultaneously. It includes five government and 6 private institutes, including GSVM Medical College.
