Tripura government to provide govt jobs to families of political violence victims

Agartala: The Tripura government has announced that it will provide government jobs to a family member of those killed in political violence. State Law Minister Ratan Lal Nath has announced this. Ratan Lal Nath said Tripura will provide state government jobs to each of the families of those killed in political violence. For quite some time, families suffering from political violence in the state were demanding jobs.

A six-member committee headed by Minister Ratan Lal Nath was constituted on December 22 to examine the applications received for jobs. Talking to the presspersons in Agartala on Saturday, Law Minister Ratan Lal Nath said that the state cabinet had recently decided to provide government jobs to the families of those who lost their lives in political violence by March 2018, according to educational qualification and requisite norms.

The first meeting of the committee was held on Thursday. Out of 10 applications received in the committee meeting, seven were found eligible. But out of this, 6 people were recommended by the Committee to provide jobs. The educational qualification of an applicant was found to be lacking.
