TTD will not allow VIP break darshan in Tirumala on October 5

Tirumala: The Koil Alvar Thirumanjanam festival will be held at the temple on October 5 in the backdrop of the annual Brahmotsavam of Lord Venkateswara to be held from October 7 to October 15. Therefore, TTD PRO Department has clarified that recommendation letters will not be accepted for VIP break darshan on 4th October, as it is suspending break darshan at Tirumala on 5th October.

Meanwhile, scholars recited a total of 142 verses from Shlokas 3 to 7 of Balakanda at the Tirumala Nadanirajan platform on Tuesday. Acharya Prava Ramakrishna Somayajulu, a faculty member of SV Veda University, who is conducting the Balkanda recitation, said he was conducting the recitation for world peace.

 The event was attended by Vedic readers from Dharmagiri Vedic School, SV Vedic Varsity Faculty, SV Higher Vedic Studies Institute and scientific scholars from Rashtriya Sanskrit Vishwavidyalaya. Last week the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam gave clarity on the conduct of Srivari Brahmotsavam this year. TTD President YV Subba Reddy announced that it has been decided to hold the annual Brahmotsavam in Ekantham (solitude) in view of Coronavirus.
