Kochi: Tusshar Vellapally, president of Bharat Dharma Jana Sena (BDJS), an ally of BJP's Kerala party, has received a major relief. He was acquitted in a case of check bounce in the United Arab Emirates. After which he reached Kerala. A week before a UAE court acquitted Vellapalli of all charges in connection with the check bounce case. Vellapally is also the Vice President of Sri Narayana Dharma Paripalan (SNDP) Yogam. This organization is a major organization of the backward Izhava community of the state. Vellapalli was arrested in the UAE last month in a Rs 19 crore check bounce case. The complaint of check bounce was lodged by Thrissur native N. Abdullah. He used to work for Vellapally-owned Boeing Construction Company LLC. This company is now closed. Hundreds of activists from SNDP Yogam and BDJS gathered outside the Cochin International Airport on Sunday morning to welcome Vellapally. BJP leaders including PK Krishnadas also reached the airport to receive him. After this Vellapalli, speaking to the media, dismissed the allegations made by BJP state unit president PS Sreedharan Pillai that the BDJS leaders were victims of the ruling CPI (M) conspiracy in Kerala. Vellapally said that he was supported by all political parties. The BDJS president asked Abdullah to publicly apologize to him otherwise be ready for court action.
