Two Bros held for killing elderly man by hammer in Delhi

New Delhi: Delhi police have arrested 2 persons for allegedly killing a 75-year-old man in south Delhi's Freedom Fighter Enclave in the Neb Sarai area of New Delhi, Police said on February 22. The accused persons were identified as Ravi Kumar and Dharmender who were booked under relevant section of the Indian Penal Code.

The 75-year-old victim, identified as Satish Kumar Bhardwaj, was found with a head injury and the floor was covered in a pool of blood, according to the police's description of the incident. The police reported the incident and assembled a team to find the offenders.

To determine the entry and exit of the accused people, the CCTV footage was examined during the inquiry. It was discovered that the house had only recently been whitewashed by a few people.

Thus, local sources were mobilised and human intelligence was gathered, according to the police. "Therefore, the pictures of both persons were collected/developed from one of the CCTV video," they added.

With surveillance and technological research, the suspects were narrowed down, and after a raid, both of the accused were taken into custody.

"One silver kada (dead), one little silver khadau, coins, and two hammers/cutters (weapon of offensive) were found upon their arrival. They were both detained "police reported. Further investigation into the matter is underway.
