In this case, the participation of two-wheeler vehicles in total vehicle sales is 82.40%. In the domestic market, sales of more than 10 million passenger cars were sold in total sales in these six months. Sales of passenger cars in the country increased by 6.63% during April-September to 10,94,553 units. During this period, a total of 16 million 30 thousand 945 passenger vehicles were sold, except two-wheeler, three-wheelers. According to data provided by the organization of Indian automobile manufacturers, SIAM, 65,08,952 motorcycles sold in the domestic market in the last six months. That is, on an average, more than seven and a half million motorcycles are sold every month. During this period, scooter sales went up by 17.26 percent to 35,77,421 units. However, sales of mopeds in this segment dropped 5.63 percent to close to 4.20 lakh during this period.
