U19 ASIA CUP: India enters semi-finals, Pakistan out

New Delhi: India have confirmed its place in the Under 19 Asia Cup being played in Sri Lanka. Pakistan's team was eliminated from the tournament. Four teams made it to the semi-finals in the Under 19 Asia Cup. Which includes hosts Sri Lanka, India, Bangladesh and Afghanistan. The Pakistan team was forced to pull out of the tournament even after the 163-run win over Kuwait in the last match. India won the three group matches and remained unbeaten to advance to the semi-finals.

India defeated Kuwait by seven wickets in the first match while Pakistan won by 60 runs in the second match. In the last league match, India won by three wickets against Afghanistan. Team India have to play in the first of the semi-finals against hosts Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka made it to the semi-finals by winning two group matches in 3.

The hosts finished second in Group B at the points table. In the Asia Cup, the semi-final match will be between Afghanistan and Bangladesh team. Bangladesh team topped Group B while Afghanistan finished second in Group A. India has made its place in the Asia Cup for the seventh time.
