Bhubaneswar: The UGC-NET or UGC-National Eligibility Test for December 2020 cycle (May 2021) has been postponed in the light of the Covid-19 pandemic, announced Union Education Minister, Ramesh Pokhriyal on Tuesday. IN his twitter handle, Ramesh Pokhriyal tweeted - “Keeping in mind the safety & well-being of candidates and exam functionaries during #covid19outbreak, I have advised @DG-NTA to postpone the UGC-NET Dec 2020 cycle (May 2021) exams,”. In a notification, NTA said that, “Looking at the present situation of the COVID-19 pandemic and also taking into account the safety and well-being of the candidates and examination functionaries, it has been decided to postpone the UGC-NET December 2020 cycle (May 2021) Examination.” The revised dates for the UGC-NET December 2020 cycle (May 2021) Examination will be announced later and at least 15 days before the examination. The candidates are advised to keep visiting the official websites of NTA (www.nta.ac.in) and (ugcnet.nta.nic.in) for the latest updates, the notification added.
