Ukraine- Russia Tention: At UNHRC session, India calls for immediate cessation of violence

On Thursday, India reiterated its call for a "immediate end of violence." India made this request at the United Nations Human Rights Council's 49th session (UNHRC). "We demand an immediate cessation of violence and an end to hostilities," India's government said in a statement released at the UNHRC session.

"No solution can ever be done at the cost of human life," it continued. The best way to resolve differences and disputes is through dialogue and diplomacy." India has also requested the creation of a humanitarian corridor to help Ukraine's victims.

"We urge that people's human rights in Ukraine be respected and protected, as well as secure humanitarian access to conflict zones," India said. India has despatched aid and support to Ukraine, including medicines and medical equipment, as well as other relief supplies. "In the coming days, we will send more such help. "This is a critical need that must be handled effectively," India said.
