Uma Bharti refuses to comment on reports of her resignation

The  Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Uma Bharti resigned from the post of  Union Minister for Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation. On Friday she refused to comment on speculations over her resignation.

On Twitter, she wrote "The speculations that have been floating since yesterday in the media - I will not entertain any questions relating to them."

The Union Minister Sanjeev Balyan has said that he was asked for the resignation and followed the order.

The  Union Minister of State Skill Development and Entrepreneurship yesterday, Rajiv Pratap Rudy about his resignation from the post told the media that "This is a decision by the Prime Minister, the government and the party and we are the soldiers of the party. There is no strategy behind this. I am thankful that I got the opportunity to work for the party and will continue to do this. It is their prerogative,"
