Up promotion alert in view of Farmers' agitation, security-enhanced at all toll plazas

Lucknow: Farmers' agitation against the central government's agricultural laws continues for the 17th day on Saturday. Farmers' organisations have warned of traffic jams on the Delhi-Jaipur National Highway. In Haryana, on the other hand, farmers have called for a toll plaza to be tackled. So, there are police alerts in Gurugram and Faridabad and strong security arrangements have been made.

Instructions have also been issued to enhance security and vigilance at all toll plazas in Uttar Pradesh. Police and PAC have been deployed at all the 130 toll plazas in the state. In view of the farmers' agitation, the DGP headquarters has issued directions. Instructions have been issued to all district captains to ensure the safety of toll plazas. Fire Brigade, UP 112, Intelligence are all instructed to stay on alert. Farmers have announced to block toll plazas on Saturday.

Agitating farmers in Haryana have announced the closure of toll plazas. In view of this, 3500 policemen have been deployed at all the five toll plazas. All of them have been deployed there with anti-riot equipment. At the same time, special instructions have been given to the policemen to prevent any untoward incident.
