UP: Gang of fake special officers used to extort, 4 arrested

Lucknow: A team of UP's Special Task Force has busted a gang that threatened and cheated various ministries of governance as its special task officer. UP's GST has detained 4 members including the former Assistant Review Officer (Secretariat).

The accused were used to met authorities and then cheating them by bullying them with fake investigations. The accused have also been accused of extortion. Police have nabbed 4 persons in this connection. The culprits have been identified as Pramod Kumar, Atul Sharma, Pradeep Kumar Srivastava and Radheshyam Kashyap. The criminals had been cheating officials of different districts of UP for the past several days by calling themself chief minister Yogi special officer. Complaints in this regard were received earlier also. Additional Chief Secretary, Home, Gopan and Prisons Avnish Asthi had ordered an inquiry. The entire case was being processed by the Special Task Force.
