UP BJP president slams Priyanka Vadra and Congress over Sonbhadra Case

NEW DELHI: National General Secretary of the Congress Priyanka Vadra, who was on a dharna to meet the victim's family after the Sonbhadra massacre, has been slammed by the newly appointed Uttar Pradesh BJP Chief Minister Independent Dev Singh, terming it a political practice of the Congress.  Attacking Priyanka Vadra, Independent Dev Singh said, "The incident of Sonbhadra is very tragic, but whoever is responsible for the incident has been arrested and the officers are taking action. It was the misdeeds of the Congressmen, which led to the whole incident," he said.

Independent Dev Singh further said, "Priyanka Vadra is only baking her political loaves on the Sonbhadra incident. Congress leaders are only trying to spoil the atmosphere in Uttar Pradesh. They want the UP environment to deteriorate. It has always been the practice of Congress to rule the corpses. Priyanka Vadra should finish all this now. Priyanka is spoiling the state environment after meeting the victim's family.

On Friday, Priyanka Gandhi left for Sonbhadra to meet the families of the victims, after which 10 people were killed in a land dispute in Sonbhadra, where the UP administration had detained her at Mirzapur and held her at the Chunar Guesthouse. While Priyanka Gandhi announced to sit on the dharna, she said she would not go without meeting the victims.
