Big decision of UP government- duty of policemen consuming liquor and non-vegetarian food

Strict guidelines have been issued regarding the deployment of policemen for Prayagraj Mahakumbh. The DGP headquarters has clarified that policemen who drink alcohol and consume non-vegetarian food will not be deployed for duty in Mahakumbh. In this regard, instructions have been given to take special care of this in the selection of police force to be sent to Mahakumbh from all the commissionerates and ranges.

Guidelines for selection of policemen:  In a letter issued by ADG Establishment Sanjay Singhal on behalf of DGP Headquarters, it has been said that the integrity, image, general reputation and conduct of the policemen to be deployed in Maha Kumbh should be good. Apart from this, special attention will also be paid to the age limit of the policemen. The age of constables should not be more than 40 years, while the age of head constables should be less than 50 years and the age of sub-inspector and inspector should be less than 55 years.

Local policemen will not be deployed:  Policemen who are natives of Prayagraj will not be sent for duty in Maha Kumbh. It has also been ensured that the policemen to be deployed are physically and mentally healthy, alert and well behaved. Instructions have been given to send names in three phases for the deployment of policemen. Names have been asked to be sent by October 10 for the first phase, November 10 for the second phase and December 10 for the third phase.

Deployment of PPS officers:  To run the administrative system smoothly in Maha Kumbh, 15 PPS officers have been attached with SP Kumbh Mela area. These include three ASPs and 12 Deputy SPs. These officers have been directed to provide their services in Prayagraj till October 15.
