Urfi Javed on hijab controversy: 'Look at me... What am I doing...

The hijab controversy continues to be a big issue across the country these days. Everyone is taking their own stand on this issue. At the same time, now Urfi Javed, who is in the limelight due to her peculiar outfit on this whole issue, has broken her silence. Urfi Javed's statement came in the wake of BJP MP Sadhvi Pragya Thakur's statement. In this statement, Urfi has said something that you will be shocked to know.

Talking to reporters on the hijab controversy, Urfi Javed said, "All I want to say is that a woman has the right to wear whatever she wants. It wasn't so many years of fighting that we didn't wear a hijab. This fight was so that women could wear whatever they wanted. If she also wears a hijab in school, what's the big deal in it? If you can wear whatever you want in Parliament or anywhere, what's the big deal?"

Urfi further said- "I am not against anything. This is just one example. I'm not against it (Pragya Thakur who wears), so I'm not even against girls wearing hijab in school. Look at me. Can I be against wearing anything?" In fact, while addressing a function in Bhopal, Sadhvi Pragya Thakur had said, "There is no bond with anyone. The Hindu is so superior, so high-minded and so cultured that we don't have to wear a hijab anywhere. The hijab is to be worn by those who have a problem in their own home, they are in danger in their house and in their house itself their dignity is in danger, so they should wear the hijab in the house as well. Outside where the Hindu society comes out, they don't need to wear a hijab."
