Man murders neighbor's son for revenge in Bahraich

Bahraich: A person quarantined on the complaint of a Dalit neighbour in Uttar Pradesh's Bahraich district kidnapped the complainant's 12-year-old son and then killed him. Now accused migrant labourer Kalim has been arrested. Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP Rural) Ashok Kumar said, "The accused migrant labourer Kalim was arrested after a small encounter on Monday. 5 people including 3 women from the family of the accused have also been arrested."

According to media reports, former village head Aarti Devi and Omkar's son Ved used to study in 5th class. On 29 October, he went for a tuition class and did not return home till late in the night. The family then informed the police. Kaleem killed the boy and threw the corpse into the canal. After this, the accused called the victim's family and demanded Rs 30 lakh. 2 days later, on 31 October, the boy's body was found in the Saryu canal in Shravasti district.

Police said that Kalim hid Veda at his relative Rabia's house in Shravasti district. Kalim's parents Hassan and Ayesha have been arrested on Friday. His relatives Rabia, Israr Khan and Tahira were arrested on Saturday. Police also seized a country-made pistol, ammunition, the victim's bicycle and school books.
