Meerut cop's body found hanging from a snare in Mathura

Lucknow: The body of a constable from Uttar Pradesh's Meerut has been recovered from Naujhil in UP's Mathura district. The body of the constable posted at Naujhil police station has been found hanging from the snare. According to the information, the constable was a resident of the Meerut district. According to information, 25-year-old Ashish Kumar's son Ravindra Singh, a resident of Barawali village under Thana Bajuma in Meerut district, was posted as a constable in the UP Police.

He was posted at Naujhil police station at this time and lived in a rented house there. Constable Rohit also lived with him in the same house. When Ashish's roommate Rohit returned to the room at 3 pm on Wednesday, he saw Ashish's body hanging from the snare. Rohit was stunned to see the body hanging inside the room. He informed the police about it. Naujhil police rushed to the spot as soon as the incident was reported. The police brought the body down from the fan and took it into custody and brought it for post-mortem.  

There is no clear information as to why the soldier took such a step. The police are investigating the case. Police have informed Ashish's family members about the incident. SHO Pradeep Kumar has informed that it is not clear why the 2020 batch soldier took such a step. Family members have been informed. The constable has been posted at Police Station Naujhil since the training. The family members and other constables will be questioned to find out what stress Ashish was under that he took such a step.
