Panchayat gave this punishment to the accused of molestation

Agra: The police did not take action even after receiving a complaint on the incident of molestation involving a married woman in a village under Khandauli area of Agra district of Uttar Pradesh. When the matter reached the panchayat, the panches punished the accused for killing ten shoes. A fine of 20 thousand was also imposed. His family also gave the money and sent the accused out of the village.

The thirty-year-old woman is accused of being alone at home. Husband went to work. Then the neighbouring youth entered the house. Seeing him alone, he started molesting. Ran away from there, beating on the protest. When the husband came to the house, the woman took him to the accused's house. There the accused and his family beat him and her husband. The next day both of them complained at Khandauli police station. The police came to the village, but returned without action. The woman is accused that taking advantage of this, the accused party called the panchayat. 80 people were present in it. The accused youth was sentenced. Panchas said that a woman with five shoes and a woman suffering from five shoes would be killed.

The village head says that the woman was molested. Instead of taking police action, people have called a panchayat in the village and settled the two sides. Pradhan says that he was also invited to the panchayat, but he refused to go. Inspector in-charge of the police station says that there was no complaint at the police station.
