Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh has become the first state in the country to cross the 50 million corona vaccination mark. Not only this, on Tuesday (August 3, 2021), the state has dosed 2.5 lakh people with vaccine doses. With this, Uttar Pradesh has broken Madhya Pradesh's record for the highest vaccine dose in a day. UP CM Yogi Adityanath took to Twitter on Tuesday to congratulate the government and the people of the state for crossing the 22 lakh dose landmark. He thanked PM Modi for his guidance and active participation of the people of the state without which it was not possible to achieve this milestone. He ended his post reminding people that the coronavirus vaccine against the deadly epidemic is your only 'protective shield,' and requested everyone to take their 'vaccine victory' and help to beat Covid-19. The Yogi Adityanath-led government in UP had set a target of setting a new immunization record on Tuesday itself. The state government has set a target of providing 20 lakh covid-19 vaccine doses in a day. More than 12,000 vaccination centers are operational in the state for this mega campaign.
