Thieves broke into vault of temple, watchman found dead

Lucknow: Thieves robbed goods worth lakhs on Thursday night at the ancient Gopal Ashram temple in Bodhashram in Firozabad district of Uttar Pradesh. They broke away the precious jewels and the vault from the temple and escaped with the cash kept in it. Apart from this, the body of a 70-year-old aged guardian of the temple for the past several years has also been recovered from the same room. The body is sent to the hospital for postmortem, the police is busy investigating the case.

On Friday morning, the priests came to know that there was a theft in the temple, then immediately the police was informed about it. On reaching the spot, when the police started the investigation, it was found that the dead body of an elderly Deendayal who took care of the temple was lying in a room nearby. Police say that the body of the elderly man was completely frozen and from the looks, it seemed that he had died 12 hours ago. The mobile was also lying near the dead body and no trace of the wound was found on the body. The investigation of this incident is being done, soon the accused will be caught.

The Superintendent of Police said that there is no CCTV camera installed on the temple premises. Two youths have been recorded in other CCTV cameras on the road. There is anger among people for stealing in a big temple in such a way that even after the strictness of the police, how did the thieves enter the temple.
