Woman raped at wedding ceremony, one arrested

Lucknow: Despite all the claims of the Uttar Pradesh government and the police, criminal incidents against women in the state are not going to stop. Now, an incident of gang rape of a woman has come to light in Taj Nagari Agra. The accused threw her on the road in a critical condition and fled after committing the gang rape of a woman who had gone to the wedding ceremony.

Police have arrested one of the accused in the case. According to media reports, the victim works as a cook and went catering to a wedding ceremony. A case has been registered at Barhan police station in Agra on the complaint of the woman's husband. Police registered a case and sent the woman for medical test. The victim has been admitted to a government hospital for treatment.

The woman is said to have gone to a wedding ceremony for catering on Sunday night. The woman was gang-raped there and the accused then threw her on the road in a critical condition and fled. She reached the police post when she regained consciousness. Police have registered a case on the complaint of the victim's husband and arrested one of the accused.
