The process of appointing an administrator is going on in the villages. From December 26, administrators will assume responsibility. An amount of about 60 crores was saved in the accounts of the village fund. While the 57th instalment of the 15th Finance Commission is due in January. 127 crore will be found in the accounts of the village fund as soon as the new heads are sworn in. During the transition period of Corona, the village heads did not get the opportunity to spend their money openly. For about seven months, the development works stopped at the village fund. The lockdown worsened the situation. Pradhan could not bat in the last over. To woo the voters, the headmen could not get their houses drained. He was left staring at the amount deposited in the account of the village fund. In this way, about 1160 gram panchayats of Bareilly were saved from spending about 60 crores. However, the village head is trying to get the bills paid here and there in the last days. Fearing investigation, panchayat secretaries are nervous about signing payment documents. Now the election of Gram Panchayat is expected in April.
