UP: Action against BSP candidate as soon as by-election results are out, luxurious hotel worth Rs 5 crore sealed

Lucknow: A day after the results of the Azamgarh and Rampur Lok Sabha bypolls were out, action has been taken against the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) candidate. On June 27, the Guru Sharanam Palace Hotel of BSP leader Anupam Dubey on the cold road in Farrukhabad of the state has been seized by the administration. It is also worth noting that in the last Lok Sabha by-election, the Samajwadi Party (SP) has alleged that the BJP candidate has won because of the BSP.

However, the assets of the BSP leader have been attached only after the election results came in. Let us know that in Farrukhabad, the administration has sealed the luxurious hotel of Anupam Dubey worth 4.5 crores. The entire area remained a police cantonment during the operation. It may be recalled that BSP leader Anupam Dubey is a resident of Kasartta Mohalla in Fatehgarh and is lodged in Mainpuri jail on charges of killing Inspector Ram Niwas Yadav and contractor Shamim. He has 45 cases registered against him.

It is alleged that the BSP leader has made a lot of money and wealth illegally. During the administration's action, Anupam Dubey's wife Meenakshi Dubey also reached the spot and objected. Meenakshi Dubey said that there is an SBI loan on the hotel, how is this being sealed. If the property is sealed, how will the instalment be deposited?
