The first UP Police security wing, which is involved in providing protection to the governor, chief minister, and other dignitaries, has received ISO certification. Binod Singh, the additional director general for security, explained that the ISO accreditation was given based on the department's quality improvement as well as the overall organization's set-up and training.
“The prize is given to Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, for his futuristic vision. We have not only upgraded the training of the staff in the wing, but we have also purchased modern technologies and security gadgets on the CM's orders,” he added. A first-of-its-kind indoor wireless shooting range simulator has also been built at the headquarters for training, and per the officer.
“We're creating a composite subterranean indoor shooting range for training along the lines of the National Security Guard (NSG).” The project will be done by November, according to Singh.
