Accident or encounter: UP police car overturned again, accused Firoz died on the spot

New Delhi: The car of the Uttar Pradesh police has once again overturned.  Earlier, the car of UP police was overturned and the encounter of gangster Vikas Dubey created headlines across the country. However, this time also the police have told the reason of the reversal of the car, like the previous time.

The private vehicle of the UP police carrying a gangster from Mumbai to Lucknow was overturned near Pakharia Pura toll in Guna district of Madhya Pradesh on Sunday morning. In this case, accused Feroz Ali died on the spot in the accident, while four people including a sub-inspector and soldier were injured. The injured have been admitted to Biaora Hospital. UP police vehicle was overturned before Kanpur when Vikas Dubey, the killer of 10 policemen, was brought from Ujjain. This incident again reminded Vikas Dubey encounter.

According to the police, 58-year-old Feroze alias Shami was a resident of Dargah Sharif Ghantaghar of police station Kotwali in Bahraich district. A case under the Gangster Act was registered against him in 2014 at Thakurganj police station in Lucknow. According to police, he was absconding since then. A police team was sent to Mumbai to arrest him. Sub Inspector Jagdish Prasad Pandey, Constable Sanjeev Singh and brother-in-law of the accused, Afzal son Munna Khan had reached Mumbai along with Lucknow resident. While returning from there, the police of UP police fell victim to the accident.
