Dehradun: The state cabinet will meet at the state secretariat under the chairmanship of CM Pushkar Singh Dhami at 7 pm on Thursday. Proposals to increase state sports policy and commission of ration vendors can be brought up for discussion in the meeting. In addition, service rules and reports from all departments and reports to be presented in the Assembly session are also likely to come up in the Cabinet. Earlier, in the cabinet meeting held last month, the Uttarakhand government has given a big gift to the students studying in government medical colleges. The fixed fee of Rs 4 lakh for MBBS students for one year was reduced to Rs 1.45 lakh. After completing medical studies, a fee of Rs 50,000 was fixed for the students who have filled the bond to provide services in Uttarakhand itself. The cabinet meeting chaired by CM Pushkar Singh Dhami has reduced the fees of medical students by Rs 2.5 lakh per annum. Official spokesperson Subodh Uniyal had claimed that Uttarakhand has the lowest fee for medical students across the country. He said that 25 proposals from all departments were discussed in the state cabinet meeting, out of which the CM has been authorized to decide one of the cases.
