Uttarakhand to be unlocked on June 15, know the guidelines issued by govt

Dehradun: The Tirath Singh Rawat government in Uttarakhand has extended the covid curfew issued in the state by a week till June 15. The curfew was expiring at six in the morning of Tuesday June 8. But now the government has increased it now. In an order issued in this regard on Sunday, Chief Secretary Om Prakash said that the covid curfew in the state will now continue till 6 am on June 15.

However, in the meantime, the guidelines empower the concerned district magistrates in rural areas of the state to take decisions from their level after assessing the status of corona infection. The order said that while showing evidence will allow people going for vaccination to attend a wedding ceremony, a maximum of 20 people will be allowed to attend a wedding ceremony with the permission of the district administration with a negative RTPCR covid inquiry report of 72 hours ago. It says that at the same time, a maximum of 20 people can also participate in the funeral procession.

Till further orders, all social, political, cultural functions, entertainment and sports activities in the state will remain closed while instructions have also been issued to keep academic, coaching institutes, cinema halls, shopping malls, sports stadiums, gyms closed.
