Dehradun: The Uttarakhand government extends curfew-like restrictions till June 15. The announcement was made on Sunday, government’ will continue curfew further with some relaxations to curb the spread of COVID-19. The new orders issued, suggests that the general stores are permitted to function between 8 am and 1 pm on June 9 and 14. *The shops of essential commodities like fruits, vegetables, dairy, milk, meat will open from 8 am to 12 pm. *Stationery and book shops will remain open from 8 am to 1 pm on June 9 and June 14. *Textiles, readymade, tailor shops, eyeglasses shops, cycle stores, dry cleaners and motor parts shops will remain open from 8 am to 1 pm on June 11. *The liquor shops are allowed to open till 1 pm for three days on June 9, 11 and 14. However, at the village level restricted will be decided by the district magistrates. Meanwhile, state as per the state health bulletin reports 619 new positive cases, 2,531 recoveries, and 16 deaths. The death toll of the state stands at 6664. Amongst all the Himalayan states in the country, Uttarakhand has the highest Covid mortality rate of two per cent, as recorded on Sunday. As many as 11 states across the country have registered a high Covid-19 death rate, out of which six are Himalayan states. Facebook saves life!
