On the social site Facebook, a young man fell in love and married to a young woman. Within two weeks of the wedding, the newly married bride made the entire family unconscious by feeding them a drug. Then, on the gold-silver jewelry worth millions of rupees kept in the house, she escaped taking them. The case is from Roorkee district of Uttarakhand.

According to media reports, the case is related to Mohanpur village in the Civil Line Kotwali area of Roorkee. A young man from the village befriended a girl on Facebook and then that friendship turned into love. In front of the boy's insistence, family members said yes to the marriage of both. But within 2 weeks of the wedding, the Facebook bride escaped by robbing them of food items including cash jewelry and mobiles worth millions of rupees from their home.

When no one came out of the house in the morning, the people of the neighborhood rushed to the house to know the matter. But after seeing the view inside, everyone was surprised and called the police. Police arrived on the information, seven family members were admitted to the hospital for treatment in an unconscious state. All are currently out of danger. According to the police, the case registered on the basis of the complaint will be investigated.
