Uttarakhand: Village head shot dead in broad daylight, investigation underway

Dehradun: Two bike-riding miscreants shot dead the village head of Nagla Kubra near the gate of Ramnagar court in Roorkee, Uttarakhand. Nearby shopkeepers gathered on hearing the sound of the bullet. A large number of police forces reached the spot as soon as the information was received. The village head died while being taken to the hospital in a blood-soaked condition. Police sent the dead body for post-mortem.

Maqsood Ahmad, son of village head room Alam (45) of village Nagla Kubra, under Jhabrera police station area, came to Ramnagar office on Friday from his Scorpio for some work. After settling here, he was walking towards his car parked outside the gate at a distance. Just then, 2 bike riding miscreants shot near the gate with their temples and was fell on the ground soaked with blood. After shooting, the bike riders escaped. Police also recovered an empty kiosk from the spot.

As soon as the news of the murder of the village head was killed, the family mourned. Villagers also gathered in the hospital. A large number of police forces have been deployed in the civil hospital. SP Dehat Navneet Singh has told that there seems to be old enmity behind the murder. CCTV cameras installed around are being searched.
