Dehradun: Trivendra Singh Rawat has resigned from the post of Chief Minister of Uttarakhand today. Trivendra Singh Rawat met Governor Baby Rani Maurya and submitted his resignation. Trivendra Singh Rawat resigned from the post of CM after meeting Governor Baby Rani Maurya. It is likely that the name of the new CM will be announced on Wednesday. Due to resentment among MLAs and some ministers in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Trivendra Singh Rawat had to resign from his post.

After expressing the displeasure of these leaders, the crisis was continuing when Trivendra Singh Rawat remained the CM. After this, the central leadership was brainstorming on this issue. Since then, there were speculations that Trivendra Singh Rawat may be discharged from the post of CM. At the press conference after resigning, Trivendra Singh Rawat said that I have been doing politics for a long time. For four years, the party gave me the opportunity to serve as the Chief Minister. I could never think that I could ever become the Chief Minister but the BJP gave me an opportunity to serve.

Trivendra Singh Rawat said that the party gave me a golden opportunity to serve this state for four years. I never thought that I would get such an opportunity. The party has now decided that the opportunity to serve as the chief minister should now be given to someone else. As Chief Minister, I am reduced to 9 days in four years.
