GURUGRAM: On the occasion of World Rabies Day, September 28, the DCC (Dogs Cats & Companions) Animal Hospital in Gurugram started a vaccination drive to administer shots to stray dogs around Delhi-NCR in to raise awareness about the value of rabies vaccinations. The hospital's mission is to vaccinate stray dogs, spread awareness of pet diseases and vaccines, and emphasize the benefits of vaccinating stray animals for both people and other animals. A minivan launched on Wednesday providing comprehensive advice on the ideal procedures for dog vaccination. "The need for rabies vaccination is more apparent today in view of the increased incidents of street dog attacks in different regions of the country," said Vinod Sharma, Director and Head of Veterinary Services at DCC Animal Hospital. Hence, giving street dogs the required immunizations is the best and most compassionate course of action, not only for the strays but also for the local populace. In light of this, DCC Animal Hospital hopes that this vaccination effort will increase knowledge about pet immunizations and healthcare for both stray and companion dogs.
