Varanasi’s District administration refused Rahul and Akhilesh to hold road show

New Delhi: District administration of Varanasi on Friday refused to conduct a road show of Congress and Samajwadi alliance, which was to be held on 11th February.

Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav were planning to have  a road show at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s parliamentary area.

There are 8 Assemblies in Varanasi, out of which 3 seats are under Bharatiya Janata Party, 2 under Samajwadi Party, other 2 seats are under Bahujan Samaj Party and only 1 seat under Congress. Thus BJP is more powerful party in this state.
