Bollywood most adorable actor Varun Dhawan has had a successful 2017. His films Badrinath Ki Dulhania and Judwaa 2 won hearts and made a good collection at the box office this year. Talking about his success, Varun told a leading tabloid, "It’s been my best year in terms of popularity and returns." When asked was he tensed with Judwaa 2 as it was a Salman Khan remake a lot of films were not working well at the box office, he said, "That added to the pressure but the numbers prove that the audience across the world wants to be entertained and a typical mainstream Hindi film will always run. Also, the single screen, the small-town viewer is as important as the multiplex-going, Twitter-friendly film migrant." Varun said that he never lets success go in his head. Varun added, "One flop and all the good work one has done in the past is wiped out in a flash, so I’m not going to think highly of myself. I’ll just savour the thought that my films are doing well, big directors are approaching me with good roles and a change is definitely happening professionally." The handsome actor will be seen in Sharat Katariya’s Sui Dhaaga-Made in India, another small town story like Badrinath Ki Dulhania. About the film, he said, "Badrinath was a typical male chauvanist pig who redeemed himself in the end with the growing realization that women should be respected as they can empower men. Many boys from small towns wrote to me saying Badrinath Ki Dulhania helped change their perspective. Hopefully, this film too will bring about a meaningful difference." The actor mentioned that he is excited to work with Anushka in Sui Dhaaga.
