Kolkata: BJP MPs from West Bengal met PM Narendra Modi in Delhi today on Friday during which he placed several issues regarding Bengal before the PM. A delegation of 15-member Bengal BJP MPs has requested PM Modi to come to Bengal. MPs have also told PM Modi about the continued atrocities on BJP workers and leaders in Bengal. MPs stressed the need for early implementation of CAA in West Bengal. Party MPs also apprised them of the discrimination being made by the state government in implementing central schemes. According to reports, BJP MPs, during their meeting with PM Modi, also spoke of ignoring BJP supporters in schemes to be implemented at the panchayat and village level. PM Modi told the BJP MPs about his compulsion to not be able to schedule Bengal due to his busy schedule but assured them that he would soon plan his programme in Bengal. The group of MPs informed about the harassment of BJP workers in Bengal and said that there has been no decline so far. They demanded measures to prevent it. The MPs have also submitted a memorandum to the Prime Minister on West Bengal.
