Bhopal: A moving car caught fire near Birla Temple in Arera Hills area of Bhopal city of Madhya Pradesh. There were 2 people in the car, who somehow jumped and saved their lives. The fire started in the car towards trunk. On receiving the information, the fire brigade vehicles reached the spot and controlled the fire. But by then the car had been burnt to ashes. According to eyewitnesses, the occupants of the car did not know at first that their vehicle was on fire. A child passing in front of Birla Temple pointed to him and told him that his car had caught fire. Then they stopped the car on the side of the road and immediately got out of it. He was also assisted by people around him to get out of the car. A major accident was averted. Shiraz Khan is a contractor. They were going towards the Assembly from New Market with their partner. On climbing, his Hyundai Venue car suddenly caught fire. The petrol-driven car was gutted in the fire. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
