Virat Kohli: Improved fitness make me a Better Fielder

India's Test captain Virat Kohli has said that his outlook towards fitness changed after IPL 2012, and a healthier body has not only made him a better batsman but also an improved fielder.

The 27-year-old has had a sensational run this year, starting with the limited-overs tour of Australia, where he excelled in both the ODI and T20 series.

Experts were stunned with his unparalleled consistency but Kohli attributed it to his fitness levels.

RCB's strength and conditioning coach Shankar Basu also heaped praise on Kohli's fitness level and believed that staying fit has helped him take giant strides in improving his batting.

"It was after the IPL in 2012". So, I always had that mindset, but I never had the motivation initially to understand how much importance physical strength and fitness holds in my sport. "After that IPL, I started listening to my body". He noted, "I made a lifestyle choice”.
