Vijayanagara temple issue: BJP is doing politics

Hyderabad : The BJP has started politics on the incident of demolition of the Ramatirtha temple in Vijayanagaram district of Andhra Pradesh. By-polls will be held in the Tirupati Lok Sabha seat in Andhra Pradesh, in which the BJP has started playing the Hindu card, which has become a political issue. On the incident, Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar said that Hinduism was not against anyone but it should not be considered as cowardice.

Police have arrested four people in connection with the damage to the Kodandaram idol at the Ramatirtha temple in Bodikonda in the Nellimarla zone of Andhra Pradesh's Vijayanagaram district. All four are supporters of the Telugu Desam Party. Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has ordered a CID probe into the Ram Tirtha incident.
