Jyoti Malhotra will replace Charles Frump as managing director of Swedish automaker Volvo cars for Indian operations. The luxury carmaker promoted Jyoti Malhotra as managing director of its Indian operations. He was serving as director, sales, marketing and PR. Malhotra will replace Charles Frump who joined Volvo Cars India as MD in 2017. He has first joined the Indian wing of the Swedish luxury car company in 2016. He has over 25 years of rich experience spanning Indian passenger car and commercial vehicle industry, spread across different areas and functions. During his previous stints, Malhotra has worked with Fiat India, Maruti Suzuki, and most recently with Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) as vice president sales. He joined Mahindra Renault in 2008 as head sales and channel marketing at Mahindra Renault, and in 2010, he moved to Mahindra & Mahindra to handle North Zone business for the automotive division. He held this position for over six years till 2014 after which he was elevated as vice president of sales. Malhotra diverse experiences, including field sales, channel marketing, business strategy, sales training, and used car operations will benefit business of Volvo in India.
