Uttar Pradesh: BJP is looking for candidate for vacant two seats in Rajya Sabha

Lucknow: Rajya Sabha member after Beni Prasad Verma, senior SP leader and former Central Minister, two out of 31 Rajya Sabha seats of UP quota are vacant after Amar Singh's death. The Election Commission has placed a vote on the seat on the account of Beni Prasad Verma of these on 24 August. The tenure of Beni Prasad Verma and Amar Singh is till July 4, 2022.

The battle over the vote in this one seat of UP is simple, but the difficulty of deciding the name of the candidate is very difficult. The seat fell vacant after the death of SP leader Beni Prasad Verma, but the question of who is sent to the Rajya Sabha has become very difficult. Given the number of MLAs in the Rajya Sabha by-election to be held in this lone seat, the BJP candidate's victory is certain. Now the BJP has to decide whether the BJP sends a leader of the state to this seat, or a leader from another state will be sent from here to the Rajya Sabha and the central adjustment will be done.

State BJP strategists are currently not in a position to give any indication in the case. They also say that Delhi should be fixed. The political adjustment of Patra and Shahnawaz Hussain is currently pending in Delhi's politics. Along with them, former BJP UP President Dr. Laxmikant Vajpayee is also a contender, who was also receiving good wishes after reports of MP becoming Governor on MP. His claim is also very strong due to the hot Brahmin politics in the state at this time. It is being decided that a Brahmin will be sent. Among these, former state president Dr. Laxmikant Vajpayee may have a name from Varanasi and nearby cities. However, nothing has been decided yet.
