In the Indian market, Maruti Suzuki India has launched The Bharat Stage-VI (BS6) Compatible Swift petrol and Wagon R 1.2. In addition, the company has included new AIS-145 safety norms, making it safer than before. It features a number of standard safety features. These include dual airbags, EBD with ABS, rear parking sensors, seatbelt reminders, and high-speed alerts. Following the updates, the prices of Maruti Suzuki Swift and Wagon R 1.2 petrol with BS6 components have now been hiked. However, the company has not yet released the prices according to the variants. The BS6-compatible Maruti Suzuki Swift's Delhi ex-showroom prices have now gone up from Rs 5.14 lakh to Rs 8.89 lakh. At the same time, the price of Wagon R 1.2 petrol has now gone up from Rs 5.10 lakh to Rs 5.91 lakh. Both the cars are powered by an updated BS6-compatible 1.2-liter K12B petrol engine that generates 83bhp of maximum power and 115Nm of peak torque. The Swift Petrol and Wagon R 1.2 offers a similar transmission. These include the option of AMT or Auto Gear Shift (AGS) unit with 5-speed manual transmission. The first car manufacturer is Maruti Suzuki India which has launched the BS-6 company in the Indian market. On April 1, 2020, all companies are to convert their vehicles into BS-6 components – the engine was first used in the Maruti Suzuki Baleno facelift, which was launched in January this year.
