Warner Bros. Discovery releases the Executive Team for Nordics

Christina Sulebakk, who was named general manager of the company in June, is in charge of Warner Bros. Discovery's management team for the Nordic region.

Pil Gundelach Brandstrup, one of the important hires, will have primary responsibility for content and strategy throughout the area while continuing to oversee content for Denmark. Norway's Magnus Vatn, Sweden's Axel Eriksson, and Finland's Katja Santala will continue to manage their respective countries' content initiatives, while Lina Friman will continue to oversee planning under Gundelach Brandstrup's direction.

“The Nordics is a highly developed media market, and Warner Bros. Discovery is one of the leading media businesses in the region, reaching millions of people every day with high-quality content and products,” said Sulebakk. “In the past few months, I have had the pleasure of meeting so many talented people, and I am confident that WBD will grow into an even stronger corporation in the years ahead.”

She further concluded, “The potential is extremely exciting,” adding that her team would “support me in delivering continued growth for WBD in the Nordics.”

Tore Fredrik Dreyer will oversee distribution for theatrical, video games, and home entertainment, while Jessie Ross Skarvad will be in charge of marketing and publicity for theatrical, video games, and home entertainment. Roni Patel will be in charge of content licencing. Kasper Kryger will be in charge of advertising sales business in the region. Jesper Steenberg will oversee the new consolidated distribution team.

Francois Simonetta will continue to be in charge of the region's consumer products, working closely with the Nordics leadership team and reporting to WBD's global brands and experienced team. “Rebecca Rormark has decided to explore new opportunities, but will be heading up marketing of our Discovery channel portfolio, trade marketing for HBO Max and publicity during a period of transition,” the company said.

Johan Mannerhill, general manager of Nordics for home entertainment and gaming, and Sanny Ekstrand, senior VP, of operations, both of whom have been with the company since 2018, will be leaving. The business also announced that the Nordics would soon have a new head of finance, operations, research, and insights. “Legal, people and culture and corporate communications will be announced at a later stage,” it added.
