However, the recent activation of the monsoon in the Himalayan region brought some respite from the rains in the plains. Meanwhile, the Met department has predicted rain in parts of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Punjab on 15th August. With this, it is now once again becoming active in Central India. This will be due to a low-pressure area in the Bay of Bengal on 16th and 17th August. Heavy rain has predicted floods in the Terai districts of West Bengal, Bihar, and Uttar Pradesh on August 15. Northern districts of Punjab and Haryana are also likely to receive heavy rainfall during this period.'' The MET department has predicted rain in Kithaur, Amroha, Garhmukteshwar, Siana, Sambhal, Chandausi, Anupshahr, Bahjoi, Debai, Narora, Sahaswan, Badaun in UP today i.e. Thundershowers are likely to occur at different places in eastern UP today i.e. In fact, according to the MET department, "The monsoon is currently slightly weak, making Delhi less likely to receive rain till August 16.''
